As we the Advent season continues, here are some of the key events happening at Knox this week:
Wednesday at 7:30 PM
Through song, scripture, meditation and intercession, we’ll consider the ripe tension of the season: that the promised Saviour of the world has come, and yet there is still so much darkness in the world; that the heavenly kingdom Christ proclaimed truly now exists, but not yet in its fullness.
Sunday is going to be a busy, important, and festive one. Come join us!
Love Your Neighbour: Gift Packing for Refugee Families
Sunday December 13 from 3:00 – 4:45 PM
Bring your friends and family to join in loving our neighbours and new comers to Canada at Christie Refugee Welcome Centre (CRWC). Over a few hours in the afternoon, we’ll gather to pack grocery cart welcome packages that will be distributed through the Christmas season and beyond to refugee families connected to CRWC. There will be a time to learn more about current refugee issues in Canada and an option to stay for the Christmas Carol sing-a-long afterwards where we hope some of the families from the centre will be able to join us to celebrate the season together. A great opportunity for all ages to put following Jesus and loving the city together as we anticipate our coming Lord.
